A Crisis of Upper Caste Mediocrity

What's happening in the US is that there are far too many people in this country who honestly think that if they haven't directly experienced something, it doesn't - or shouldn't exist. This is a crisis of Upper Caste mediocrity having The Biggest Meltdown Ever because it can't default to Being Number One without getting pushback from the communities they abuse. You can see it in the way that the members of the ruling class/Upper Caste (or those who fawn at the feet of them, in hopes of getting some of the scraps that will be left) can't stop foaming at the mouth about DEI and how evil it is.

Racism is no longer acceptable in a lot of communities, and there are folks out there who are fighting Desperately to keep saying things that they know goddamned well are hurtful to their intended target - mostly because they become angry if they don't get the reaction they want. DEI is just another way that they've figured out how to say 'the N word', and they giggle up their sleeves about it that it's working so well. It's the same thing with that 'roman salute' bullshit. The Actual Nazis that watched that happen rejoiced.

This is not the first time that fascism almost prevailed in the United States. We came Very Close to tipping into getting into a relationship with The Third Reich during World War II. Rachel Maddow created a whole podcast about it.

And here we are again.

It also doesn't help that foreign nations have been interfering in elections around the globe for a LONG time - Russia just played the long game with the US. Former KGB Agent Yuri Bezmenov broke it all down in an interview back in the mid-eighties when he tried to warn us about Ideological Subversion from Russia.

And our elected leaders decided that it wasn't important enough to keep an eye on.

BeyondIntractability: Subversion refers to a process by which the values and principles of an established system are contradicted or reversed in an attempt to sabotage the existing social order and its structures of power, authority, tradition, hierarchy, and social norms. It involves a systematic attempt to overthrow or undermine a government or political system, often carried out by persons working secretly from within. Subversion is used as a tool to achieve political goals because it generally carries less risk, cost, and difficulty as opposed to open belligerency. The act of subversion can lead to the destruction or damage of an established system or government. In the context of ideological subversion, subversion aims to gradually change the perception and values of a society, ultimately leading to the undermining of its existing systems and beliefs.

Bezmenov's 4 steps of Subversion are:

Demoralization, Destabilization, Crisis, and Normalization

1. Demoralization: This phase involves the long-term process of demoralizing the target nation. Tactics include the infiltration of, and influence on, the target nation’s educational system, media, politics, and culture. The aim: to alter the population’s perceptions of reality, creating a generation of citizens who are unable to recognize or resist the subverter’s ideology or objectives.

2.Destabilization: In this stage, the focus shifts to creating instability. This can be done through the manipulation of the target nation’s economy, politics, and society. Strategies include sowing discord, social unrest and polarization, usually by exploiting existing divisions. This phase might involve supporting radical groups, spreading disinformation, and undermining trust in the government and institutions.

3.Crisis: This stage is characterized by a significant upheaval or crisis that leads to a state of emergency or a situation that destabilizes society to a critical point. The crisis could take various forms, including economic collapses, riots, or significant political upheavals, leading to a high uncertainty and fear among the population.

4. Normalization: After the crisis, the stage of normalization begins, where the subverter seeks to establish a new status quo. This often involves the implementation of policies and measures that solidify the subverter’s control or influence over society, supposedly to restore order. The subverter’s power and the oppressive new conditions become “normal.”The current administration is trying REALLY HARD to convince all of us that everything that is happening is Normal. We are deep in Normalization territory at this point.

I've been reading this fantastic book called Binding Chaos, in which the author Heather Marsh, philosopher, programmer and human rights activist, speaks about something called Shattered Endoreality. This broke it down to BASE components for me. Humanity needs to GROK this as soon as possible, because we're literally destroying ourselves and the world around us. Most of what we're doing as a species is completely unsustainable, and we're only just now starting to experience the edges of this.

Heather's quotes read: "Endoreality is a reality unique to an endogroup. It follows the law of endoreality which says: All virtue, ownership, credit and victimhood are assigned to the endo-ideal and all vice, guilt and punishment are assigned to the negative image, by all committed members of the endogroup. Once guilt is assigned to an endo-ideal, endoreality is shattered."

"...our self is made of all the interactions we have ever been a part of. When connections are severed, we experience a painful wound to our self. When interactions are not what we thought they were – when what we thought was real was something else entirely – our entire perception of self is upended. This combination causes a state of extreme trauma. The trauma is great even if it occurs in a two person relationship – if the break in reality is with the entire society, it is overwhelming."

"When a connection is severed, it is like a ripped tendril, open and unprotected and needing to connect to stop the pain. This makes the person who has suffered such a wound very vulnerable to new endogroups that promise more strength and inclusion. If the tendril doesn’t reconnect, some can become cauterized and wary of ever touching anything again or so barricaded you can’t reach them at all. "

"Imagine you were in a deeply committed monogamous relationship for 30 years. Imagine your spouse had been cheating on you for the entire 30 years. Imagine this was happening in front of all of your community, friends and family and they had all lied and pretended it wasn’t happening. Imagine that even when you discovered the betrayal, with incontrovertible proof – they continued to all lie to you, gaslight you and call you crazy or tell you that you were overreacting. It is easy to understand the deep disorientation, rage and need to attack or escape the people complicit in this. This is exactly what happens in all shattered endoreality. It doesn’t matter if it is a marriage, a religion, a state or a political or economic ideology. The betrayal and disorientation are the same. This is why people are so militantly resistant to knowledge that challenges their endoreality."

What we're experiencing is the aftereffects of the Shattered Endoreality of all of the human beings who, for generations, Literally Ran Everything and actively worked to create and maintain 'oppressed "other" classes' in a carefully constructed hierarchical society that only they could 'win' in.

Because there are enough human beings on the planet who are pushing back against this - we're seeing rapid generational change, but Really Scary Stuff is still happening all around us.
